London Universities Purchasing Consortium (LUPC) is the lead consortium for this framework, a company limited by guarantee reg. no. 04784719, and is a not-for-profit company owned by its Members, for its Members. Its primary purpose is to maximise value from the collaborative procurement of goods and services for over 80 Members, made up of universities and colleges, as well as government agencies, research organisations, museums and other cultural establishments. LUPC is one of the six regional university purchasing consortia in the UK, which together form the United Kingdom University Purchasing Consortia (UKUPC) group. LUPC is also a member of Procurement England Ltd, which is a partnership supporting collaborative procurement in England. The Framework Agreement seeks to achieve the following objectives: To secure best value for Members; To provide an easy and compliant route to the market; To obtain supplier operational and commercial management of the Framework Agreement locally and/or regionally; To ensure all Members have maximum choice of suppliers; To provide structured KPIs to ensure effective commercial and operational management of the Framework Agreement; And To deliver our requirements for Responsible Procurement by agreeing to improve the transparency of supply chains. The Framework Agreement has been divided into the following Lots: Lot 1 – Cell Analysis Systems; 1a – Cell Analysis Systems, Real-Time Cell Analysis Systems; 1b – Cell Counters; Lot 2 –Cell Manipulation; Including Cell Fusion Instruments/Electroporation Instruments, Cell Preparation Systems, Cell Sorters and Bioreactors; Lot 3 – Entry-Level Flow Cytometers; Lot 4 – Biomolecule Manipulation; Including Automated DNA/RNA Extraction Systems and RNA Interference; Lot 5 – Other DNA/RNA Applications; Including Signal Transductor Reporter Systems; And Lot 6 – Post-Installation Services for Life Sciences Equipment Only.
