LBC - Carnlough Harbour Steps

Carnlough Harbour is located within the village of Carnlough, Co. Antrim. The works involve the repair of stone access steps with the harbour. The harbour is used by a number of fishing and recreational / coastal rowing boats. The steps are a registered structure with the NIEA and faced with local limestone. Any new stone required for works will be sourced locally. The works will repair the limestone steps at the harbour. The works will comprise of removing and storing the existing limestone, infilling of any voids and reconstructing the limestone steps to original condition. Works will be required to be carried out in a tidal harbour environment. The contractor should be aware of the tidal range and take all necessary preclusions to prevent any pollutions to the harbour. In addition, any works undertaken by the contractor (including temporary) must not hinder or obstruct boat users or the movement of boats within the harbour.
