LBBD OFFICE MOVES, REMOVALS, AND TENANT RELOCATION SERVICES

Tender description

This contract covers the office moves, removals, tenant relocation service and possible storage for several Council departments including but not limited to Asset Management, Regeneration and Economic Development, and Housing and Landlord Services. In order to best capture differing requirements, ensure availability of supply, reduce risk, and increase responsiveness the Council is also looking at submissions from consortia groups. In this instance the lead member of the consortia will have to take responsibility for the overall submission. The financial details of each member of the consortia and their role within the group will also have to clearly explained to avoid any doubt. This will be a 36 month contract with the possibility of a further 12 month extension. The Council will be running with an initial estate renewal tenant relocation project. This relocation project will involve approximately 136 tenant relocations with an estimated spend of £55K for financial year 2012/2013; 223 tenant relocations with an estimated spend of £89K for 2013/2014, and 250 tenant relocations with an estimated spend of £100K for 2014/2015. Total of 609 moves and estimated spend of £244K. The purpose of the contract is to provide secure removal facilities for the relocation of belongings of the Council’s tenants affected by the borough wide estate renewal programme including locations at Gascoigne Estate East, Goresbrook Village and the Leys Estate. The Council is also undertaking a series of office accommodation staff relocations within its portfolio of offices which will require the supply of packing crates, the relocation of work related items such as files, some furniture, PC’s and other technology related items, between locations and the moving around of existing furniture to accommodate these relocations.
