LBBD HOUSING - Mechanical & Electrical repairs and maintenance

Tender description

The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham is inviting tenders from suitably experienced contractors to provide, for a 36 month period with a possible extension for a period of upto 24 months, services to cover the following requirements on six mechanical and electrical building services repairs and maintenance contracts - including gas servicing and breakdown, lift servicing and breakdown, water management sampling and surveys, general electrical & mechanical installations, and NICEIC cyclical electrical inspections for domestic and communal installations, and domestic chair and stairlifts. The Housing and Neighbourhoods service is responsible for the provision of mechanical and electrical servicing, inspections, day to day repairs, and maintenance of equipment, appliances and plant to the Council’s housing stock of over 22,000 homes including more than 3,000 leaseholders. It is the intention of the Housing and Neighbourhoods service to split the work into a series of Lots via a single tender action producing a term contractor for the services mentioned above namely, i. Gas Servicing and breakdown ii. Lift Servicing and breakdown iii. Water Management Sampling & Surveys iv. General and Electrical & Mechanical Installations v. NICEIC cyclical electrical inspections of domestic and communal installations vi. Domestic chair and stairlift servicing, repair and maintenance
