Kitchen Ventilation System Upgrade - Frimley Park Hospital

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust (the Trust) is seeking to appoint a contractor to undertake works to upgrade the main kitchen at Frimley Park Hospital. The work is required to facilitate the upgrading of the existing system to current regulations. The new system will comply with the HVCA commercial kitchen specification DW172, HVCA ductwork specification DW144, and BS6173 gas safety compliance within a commercial kitchen environment. Scope of works:- 1) Dismantle, remove and dispose of existing kitchen ventilated ceiling. 2) Install new stainless steel canopies above existing cooking equipment. 3) Install new supply air and extract ductwork from existing entry points. 4) Dismantle, and remove existing fan and install new kitchen extract fan in plant room. Fit inverter fan speed controller and wire new 400v supply. 5) Install new suspended ceiling & recessed LED panel lighting in kitchen. 6) Install new gas interlock system including control panel, KO buttons, gas solenoid valve(s) and all associated electrical wiring. 7) Install an Ansul R-102 fire suppression system to 3 No. island canopies in main kitchen, prep area & ‘Call Order’ servery canopy. 8) Interface wiring to Ansul R-102 system from building fire alarm system. 9) Interface wiring to Ansul R-102 system from gas interlock system. 10) Test, commission, certification, demonstration & handover to client 11) Provide as built drawings and O&M manuals for upgraded system.
