Kent Collaborative Clinical Systems Programme (SAcP)

Tender description

The Kent Collaborative Clinical Systems Procurement Programme is collaboration between East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust and Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. The Programme has presented a business case to take advantage of central funding being made available under the Southern Acute Programme to procure and deploy, under separate lots, a Patient Administration System with additional functionality (e.g., Accident and Emergency, Order Communications, etc.) and a Maternity Information and Reporting System. It is the Kent Collaborative’s intention that each Trust will award either: a) A single contract to a Service Provider who offers, through his response to the invitation to tender, the service that is considered by the Trusts to represent the best value for money as determined by the evaluation criteria published within the invitation to tender; or b) A number of contracts to a number of Service Providers who offer, through their responses to the invitation to tender, the services that are considered by the Trusts to represent the best value for money as determined by the evaluation criteria published within the invitation to tender. The initial contract term will be 120 months from the date of contract commencement (unless terminated early by the awarding Contracting Authority giving to the service provider not less than (6) months written notice before the end of the initial period in accordance with the proposed contract). The Contracting Authority may, at its sole discretion, exercise an option to extend the term (on the same contract terms except as agreed) for further periods that will not exceed 24 months from the date of expiry of the initial contract term.
