Tender description

By way of background, a framework for the provision of legal services to Invest NI is currently in place and is due to expire on 31 March 2011. Invest NI wishes to appoint firms of solicitors to provide advice in relation to the following areas of law with effect from 1 April 2011: 2.1 Company and commercial law 2.2 Property 2.3 Corporate Governance (including the Bribery Act 2010) 2.4 Employment 2.5 Venture capital 2.6 Insolvency 2.7 Equality 2.8 Intellectual property and IT 2.9 Administrative law 2.10 EU law and Human Rights law 2.11 Procurement 2.12 Freedom of Information 2.13 Data Protection Invest NI will appoint the firms ranked 1, 2 and 3 in respect of each area of law after formal evaluation. Commissions will be offered to the firm ranked 1. Firm 2 will be offered a commission in the event of (a) a conflict of interest for firm 1 or (b) firm 1 not having the capacity to deliver a project within the required timeframe. Firm 3 will be offered a commission in the event that either (a) or (b) applies to firm 2.
