Invest NI Provision of Mobile Apps for Local Councils

Tender description

Invest NI wish to appoint a suitably experienced provider to provide specialist services for the development of up to 22 (maximum) downloadable mobile Applications (Apps) that can be used by Local Councils to promote their respective Councils areas to potential investors. The Service Provider appointed will develop the mobile Applications using a exisitng framework developed in a pilot exercise and not the development of a new mobile App. The successful Service Provider will be required to:- • Develop information / content as stipulated by Councils or clusters of Councils using, or integrate with, the Councils own content management system during the 6 month following award of the contract; • Develop the mobile app capability for blackberry; • Upload information / content for Councils or clusters of councils into downloadable mobile applications (mobile web service) using an existing mobile App framework, supplied by Invest NI, during the 6 month following award of the contract; • Complete a successful transfer/handover of the mobile App to Councils after installation within the 6 month following award of the contract; at this time all responsibility for content management will transfer to Council. • Support, update and maintain the technical functionality of mobile App until 30 June 2015.
