Invest NI – Marketing Appraisal Framework Invest Northern Ireland (www.investni.com) is the economic development agency for Northern Ireland, engaging with up to 2,000 client companies in the manufacturing and tradable services sectors to provide both financial and non-financial assistance to support the development and competitiveness of both these individual businesses and the wider NI economy. The Business Appraisal (BA) Team is responsible for providing an independent challenge function within Invest NI, analysing the commercial viability and economic efficiency of projects seeking support from the agency – under Invest NI’s operating guidelines, it is mandatory that all projects above a threshold of proposed support are independently appraised by the BA team. Each such appraisal is led by a Commercial Appraiser (Accountant), supported by a Marketing Appraiser (with occasional input from a Production / Technical Appraiser). Invest NI has a requirement for Marketing advisors to appraise such applications for financial assistance from companies wishing to develop existing operations or establish new operations in Northern Ireland. Invest NI wishes to establish a framework of suitable advisors to appoint to Marketing projects, when staff resources or specialist sector expertise to undertake a particular exercise are not available within Invest NI. Other Divisions from within Invest NI may, on occasions, use the Framework.
