Integrated Design Team Framework

Tender description

The Contracting Authority, hereinafter referred to as the Client is seeking to engage 5 Economic Operators within a Framework Contract to provide Integrated Design Teams (IDT). These IDT will provide the required design services for various schemes in the future. The detailed operation of Active and Standby list will be prescribed in the tender documents. The Services are for the provision of the following services. • Architect • Civil Engineer / Structural Engineer • Mechanical Engineer / Electrical Engineer The services for any project may be for all the above services or a selection of the above depending on the complexity of the project. NEC3 Contract Management – referred to in the NEC3 contracts as the Project Manager and Supervisor will be typically be required for most scheme. It will be a requirement for all CTM / EO to thus be able to manage and act as the NEC3 Project Manager or Supervisor as and when required. The Contracting Authority may opt to separate this Project Management / Supervisor service from the required IDT and award it separately where appropriate. Where required the Contracting authority may separate services or tender services separately where this is more economically viable to the Contracting Authority. The CTM may be required thus not only to manage teams within their IDT but also third party Consultant team members where required by the employer. The Framework Contract is to be for a 4 year period with break clauses commencing Quarter 3 Year 2014. The estimated fee value, excluding VAT, of the Services is maximum £ 2,000,000. over the 4 years. It is anticipated a NEC3 Framework and associated PSC shall be used to provide the Services.
