LB Newham - Integrated Carer Support Service Procurement of an Integrated Carers Support Service to support Carers aged five and over. The London Borough of Newham is seeking to commission an Integrated Carers Support Services for all Carers aged five and over (adult carers, parent carers and young carers). The prospective provider will deliver a service encompassing suitable facilities and staff to deliver a range of activities and interventions as per the service specification which will increase social inclusion and vocational opportunities, and reduce isolation. Newham wish to receive expressions of interest and responses from suitably qualified and experienced providers with the necessary capacity and capability to provide the services set out in the Invitation To Tender Prospective providers will require an understanding of the issues relating to Carers as contained within • Care Act (2014) • Children and Families Act (2014) • National Carers Action plan ( June 2018) as well as considerable experience of working with carers. The successful organisation must be able to demonstrate that it can provide evidence of their partnership working within the context of Health and Social Care Services and with appropriate third sector organisations. They should be able to provide sufficiently trained workers with experience of working with a variety of agencies and within a multi-disciplinary approach, with the skills to deliver an appropriate programme of interventions to people accessing the service, as well as working with other people involved in the overall care plan e.g. families, statutory teams, care homes etc. The contract is due to commence on 1st April 2019, for a period of 3 years with an option to extend for up to a further 24 months.
