Inquiry into Hyponatraemia Related Deaths

Tender description

On 1 November 2004 Angela Smith MP announced an Inquiry into the events surrounding and following the deaths of 3 children from hyponatraemia-related causes between 1995 and 2001. John O’ Hara was appointed Chairman of the Inquiry. In July 2005 the Inquiry was suspended at the request of the PSNI pending their investigations. The PSNI have indicated that their investigations are complete and as result the Inquiry has recommenced. This Inquiry has faced many difficulties and delays including police investigations, and other issues, such as obtaining suitable facilities in which to hold public hearings. Ministerial approval has now been received to holding the public hearings in Banbridge Courthouse, which was used by the Billy Wright Inquiry. To identify and appoint a supplier for each of the oral hearing IT services required by the Inquiry into Hyponatraemia Related Deaths. To supply of a range of information technology systems and services as follows: l Lot 1 - Evidence display services; l Lot 2 - Real-time transcription services; and l Lot 3 - Audio-visual services. Suppliers must identify which Lot they are responding to. If a supplier is responding to more than one Lot then they must submit each response separately addressing the functional requirements and non functional requirements with each submission.
