Information Asset Discovery Project

Tender description

The BBC is running a Request for Information (“RFI”) in order to ascertain the best solution in obtaining a system or systems to handle the following workstreams: Data Classification: Implementation of a security classification scheme on all electronic information assets; Information Asset Discovery: Undertake a process to discover the location, ownership and perceived value of information assets across all divisions of the BBC in an automated fashion; Behavioural Analysis: Implementation of a system which allows for the provisioning and controlling of access rights, along with reporting around behavioural patterns and LDAP/AD integration. The solution should cover the management of: Data: All logical network shares regardless of how the data is stored (network shares, cloud services); Information: Content management systems such as SharePoint, including the tiered elements within a single SharePoint site (e.g., marking specific sections with their own access rights); Email: Access rights for Exchange shared folders For further information and application to the documents, please contact: John Berman Project Manager john.berman@bbc.co.uk
