Tender description

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (acting as the Awarding Authority) invites tenders for a managed service contract to include the following: • automated and non-automated / semi-automated diagnostic platforms • automated autoimmunity e.g. tTG screening • allergy testing e.g. specific IgE • non-automated or semi-automated testing e.g. ANA using immunofluorescence • consumables and support. The Contractor must provide a complete service solution or work with third party suppliers within a managed service contract arrangement in the most cost-effective format. This must be in a form that is compliant with HMRC rules to ensure full VAT recovery on all elements within the contract. The contract period is to be for 5 years, commencing early 2014 (with the option to extend for up to a further five years). The Awarding Authority is looking for a strategic partner that will be expected to advise, develop and implement new technologies as they arise that are advantageous to the laboratory in terms of its goal to modernise and automate the diagnostic service.
