Tender description

The school catering service in Northern Ireland is responsible for producing some 120,000 meals daily to children within nursery, primary, special and post-primary schools. Compulsory nutritional standards are now in place in all locations and the service continues to employ skilled staff preparing meals from fresh ingredients. Prices are being sought for Food Processing/Vegetable Preparation Machines, and detailed requirements are given in Attachment 2. The anticipated usage for all five Boards’ school meals kitchens estimated at a maximum of 18 machines per annum. However, it should be noted that these figures are an estimate only and no guarantee of any level of business is given. Any uptake will depend on the requirements of individual Board and available funding.
