Hampshire & IOW Sustainability and Transformarion Plan Workforce Review ITT Description Hampshire and Isle of Wight ('HIOW') has a population of over 2 million people and employs circa 96,000 people within the local health and social care sector. There is now a strong spirit of collaboration to work as Health and Social care partners to improve the health and well-being of our population through developing our infrastructure and workforce, and by focusing on targeted interventions to deliver prevention, early intervention and self-management. There are numerous health and social care organisations forming the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Sustainability and Transformation Plan (STP), including 5 commissioning bodies, 8 NHS Trusts and 3 Local Authorities. The STP has organised itself into 6 Local Delivery Systems which are: • Portsmouth and South East Hampshire • Southampton City • South West Hampshire • North and Mid Hampshire • Isle of Wight • Frimley (NB due to system boundaries, the Frimley system is shown as it has part of its services within Hampshire – it is, however a separate STP and will not therefore be part of this programme of work) All partners are fully committed to the aims and objectives of the HIOW STP. The HIOW STP now requires the service of an independent expert for a review of workforce leadership and management of the back office. Solent NHS Trust has agreed to lead on the acquisition of this consultant on behalf of the HIOW STP.
