<p>The Government of Jersey’s Energy Recovery Facility currently creates approximately 80 tonnes of Air Pollution Control Residue (APCr) hazardous ash per week, which is a by-product of burning waste.</p> <p>This APCr ash is exported from Jersey to the UK as waste or for recovery where possible. Currently, APCr ash is loaded into 2 tonne bags, which are shipped to the UK on a freight trailer.</p> <p>The Government of Jersey have identified the need to upgrade the current ash loading infrastructure.</p> <p>The Government want to upgrade the APCr ash bagging process by providing a facility to allow the APCr ash to be loaded into sealed tanker vehicles.</p> <p>The existing infrastructure for manually bagging ash must also remain operational.</p> <p>The Department are therefore seeking expressions of interest from companies who would be able to assist with either or both of the following:</p> <p> • Undertake the design of an APCr ash loading facility suitable for tanker vehicles</p> <p>• Undertake the construction of an APCr ash loading facility suitable for tanker vehicles at Energy Recovery Facility in Jersey, Channel Islands.</p> <p>Currently we are only looking for Expressions of Interest, if your Company is interested in tendering for the contract please log in and register an interest.&nbsp; The tender will be published at a later date.&nbsp;</p> Keywords: Energy Recovery Facility
