Foresight Report Required for Digital Content Sector in the Republic of Ireland

Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT), on behalf of the Honeycomb Partnership, is seeking to appoint an innovative and dynamic individual/organisation to produce a foresight report for the digital content sector in the Republic of Ireland, encompassing the following sub sectors: film and broadcast; animation; games development; online interactive content; music technology. The main aim of the foresight report is to inform the development of strategies and solutions that will address the future needs of the digital content sector in the Republic of Ireland. The Report has the following key objectives: • To identify future drivers of change within the Republic of Ireland’s digital content sector and to identify the associated skills implications • To identify future specific needs and changes that may occur (including skills - either cross-sectoral or specific to the aforementioned sub sectors) due to political, socio-economic and technological developments inter alia • To explore the likely impact of these trends on businesses and to identify what actions need to be taken currently in order to meet demand for these specific needs in the future • To analyse, compare and contrast the recent, current and future situations in the aforementioned sub sectors within the six border counties of the Republic of Ireland (Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim, Louth, Monaghan and Cavan) with that of the rest of the Republic of Ireland For full details on this call for tender and to download the terms of reference please go to www.etenders.gov.ie and search for ID: 85747 or contact Kevin Fearon at Dundalk Institute of Technology.
