Fire Suppressant System to suit Railway Signalling Equipment Rooms

The following is provided in good faith and is intended only as a preliminary background explanation to Translink’s requirement it does not purport to be all inclusive. Northern Ireland Railways Company Ltd (NIR) intends to appoint a specialist contractor to Design, Supply, Install and Commission a suitable fire suppressant system in track-side Signalling Equipment Rooms. Please note the PQQ submission return date of 1500 hours on 10 May 2012. The Supply of Fire Suppression Systems for Signalling Equipment Rooms will be done under a NEC3 Engineering & Construction Short Contract. Works are expected to start under this contract at the end of June 2012. The fitment of Signalling Equipment Rooms with a Fire Suppression System will be rolled out over a 3 year period. Translink reserve the right to accept part of any Tender from one or any number of Tenderers and may change the contracting strategy at any time.
