Tender description

This contract is for the Exhibition Fit Out of buildings at the Enniskillen Castle site. Fermanagh Heritage Gateway is the focus of a project to create a new visitor centre and galleries at Enniskillen Castle. An existing Heritage Centre will be refurbished and will contain temporary and permanent gallery spaces together with staff offices and reserve collection storage. A new Visitor Centre and link building is under construction. On the ground floor the Visitor Centre will contain the main reception, visitor information service, shop and café. The first floor will contain an accessible archive area and heritage resources. From the main reception the visitor will walk through the link/Armoury building to the principle permanent gallery spaces located on the ground and first floor of the Barrack Coach House – an existing historic building previously lying empty and unused that will be refurbished as part of the project. The Barrack Coach House will be linked to the visitor centre by a covered external activity space.
