Feasibility study into the market demand for a Testing, Research, and Innovation Centre (TRIC) at Spaceport Cornwall

1. Overview: Spaceport Cornwall is currently developing it’s Centre of Space Technologies (CST), consisting of two primary buildings, the Space Systems Integration Facility (SSIF), and the Space Systems Operations Facility (SSOF), a multi-user facility offering everything from hot desks to exclusive use offices and labs, ready from March 2023. The two facilities have been designed to work together to support launch and attract new businesses to develop the Cornwall Space Cluster. The CST does not currently offer testing facilities and equipment, specifically environment testing equipment to test manufactured satellites or componentry is capable of withstanding the vigorous journey to space aboard a launch system, and then surviving the harsh environment of space once in orbit. Feedback from partners suggests there is market demand for testing facilities at Spaceport Cornwall which would help the cluster grow. The Spaceport Cornwall team would like more detailed information regarding this market demand, potential strength of market USP, and also to identify a lead capital partner. 2.
