Tender description

One of the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra)’s Food Policy objectives is to provide improved information to consumers. As part of this, there is a need to secure evidence to understand the uptake of Voluntary Country of Origin Labelling in the catering and hospitality sector, in particular what the opportunities and barriers are for increasing uptake. This work will support two of Defra’s Food Chain Evidence Programme objectives; to ‘Increase confidence in food and availability of accurate food information to the consumer and ‘Increasing competitiveness, productivity and economic growth in the food and drink sector’.
