Tender description

Nottingham University Hospitals Trust (NUH) is looking to appoint a single supplier to deliver an Estates Rationalisation software package to the Estates and Facilities Management Directorate. The Trust was formed on 1 April 2006, when the Queen’s Medical Centre and Nottingham City Hospital merged in order to develop a range of high quality, sustainable patient services across the two campuses. NUH is one of the largest NHS trusts in the UK and provides acute and specialist services to 2.5 million people within Nottingham and the surrounding communities from two hospital sites. NUH’s vision is to become the country’s best acute teaching trust by 2016. The system The system required will consolidate various holistic paper and electronic data streams including but not exclusively: CAD Drawings, Room Schedules and Utilisation, Space Occupancy, Property Management Records including Land Terrier Records (Lease information), Display Energy Certificates, Estate Records, Land Registry Records. It will also help support the allocation and apportionment of Estates costs to Directorates, and for collating the floor area data the Trust has to submit to the Department of Heath each year, which the Department of Health uses to build the payment tariff. In addition, this holistic system will provide a process that will ensure that these currently disparate existing manual and electronic records are captured and maintained in line with the Trust’s Corporate Records Management Policy, also ensuring they are reviewed and disposal dates identified in line with the NHS Code of Practice Retention and Disposal Schedule.
