Erection of two predator proof fences Rinmore, Co Donegal

Tender description

BirdWatch Ireland intends to erect two predator proof fences at close proximity sites in Co Donegal to protect populations of breeding waders from foxes and mink during the months of April- July. This habitat management work is part of the larger Halting Environmental Loss Project (HELP), a grant aided project where BirdWatch Ireland is working in partnership with RSPB Northern Ireland and RSPB Scotland to improve conditions for wading birds, corncrake and chough. HELP is funded by the European Regional Development Fund as part of the INTERREG IVA Programme which is managed locally by the Special European Union Programmes Body. It is a requirement of the project funders that tenders in any one area are advertised in all three areas of operation, in this case Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland. BirdWatch Ireland is now seeking tenders from interested contractors via a Full Tender process, to complete this work.
