Emergency Pagers

Tender description

Current Situation. The Trust currently has on site paging and emergency paging at it’s two main sites, City Hospital and Queens Medical Centre. This current paging system consists of two physically separate paging systems on each site with two physically separate transmitters. The systems are mirrored to allow the routine changeover of systems without any interruption to service. The systems host 790 pagers on the QMC site of which 168 are emergency pagers and 127 on the City Hospital site all of which are emergency pagers. The emergency pagers are on a fully serviced rental with the other pagers individually purchased. The Trust currently has no direct telephony connections between the two sites as all telephony systems are interconnected via SIP over the Trusts data network. The Trust’s current contract expires on 30 June 2012. This will be an “open” procedure procurement. The trust is able to facilitate a site visit for any interested suppliers on Wednesday 4th January 2012. The Trust is looking for a rental service agreement to provide an on site paging system on both the City Hospital and Queens Medical Centre on an initial 3 year contract with the option to renew on annual basis after year 3 up to a maximum five year term.
