Electrical Contractors Framework Please note the PQQ return date of 1500 hours on Tuesday 31 July 2012. Translink is the brand name for the public transport operating companies in Northern Ireland. These include the companies of Ulsterbus, Metro, Northern Ireland Railways and NITHC. Translink comprises of approximately 160 locations and over 400 buildings. The properties range from large multi-story office blocks, bus & rail stations, engineering workshops, bus parks and railway halts that are located all over Northern Ireland and an Ulsterbus depot in Scotland. The aim of this tender exercise is to establish Framework Arrangements whereby suitably qualified contractors will carry out Electrical capital works to all its locations. Works include Electrical work within the following environments: • Corporate Offices • Bus Stations • Rail Stations • Integrated Bus/Rail Facilities • Workshops / Garages / Warehouse • Car Parks / Access Roads • Park & Ride Facilities • Offices • Retail units • Fuel and Wash facilities • Pedestrian bridges • etc Future services will be procured through a Work Package Instruction (mini-competition) to all Framework Suppliers. The Contract period is for 2 years with options to extend by two further 12 month periods (up to a maximum expenditure of £3,000,000 over the life of the framework). 1.1 ESTIMATED VALUE The estimated value for the Framework is £ 3,000,000 excluding VAT. 1.2 FORM OF CONTRACT An NEC3 Framework and Engineering and Construction Contract shall be used for this Framework and associated contracts.
