Tender description
The White Paper “Universal Credit: welfare that works”, published on 11 November 2010, sets out the Coalition Government’s plans to introduce legislation to reform the welfare system by creating a new Universal Credit. Universal Credit will radically simplify the system to make work pay and combat worklessness and poverty. While the DWP research programme will provide valuable information, this project is about gathering Northern Ireland specific data in order to demonstrate that any regional differences have been identified and taken into account when planning implementation. The project covers the qualitative research in Strand A of the NI Universal Credit research programme which needs to be completed by 29 February 2012.
