Tender description
Taking into account the activities the Social Security Agency has already taken forward and wider strategic issues, the Agency would like to explore how uptake activities could be focused on customers’ circumstances rather than particular benefits. As part of its Business Plan for 2011/12, an Innovation Fund will be initiated to explore new ways to increase the uptake of social security benefits. This is a pilot programme with a maximum budget of £250,000 available this year. Organisations will be able to bid for contracts to enable them to carry out activities to increase the uptake of benefits for a maximum period of 12 months. The Fund will give organisations a degree of flexibility to determine what method is successful for their customer group. Ideas must be for new or enhanced activities. The budget cannot be used for the continued delivery of existing services.
