Tender description

The work comprises the carrying out of topographical surveys by ground methods on the area shown on the Contract Drawings. The works may include but not be limited to the following, which are provided by way of example: (a) Establishing and Surveying a survey control framework of permanent ground markers and permanent bench marks, all of which are clearly identified on accompanying plans. (b) Survey data to be supplied in the Irish Grid (1975) Coordinate Reference System, height datum MSL Belfast. Any GNSS surveys to be transformed to the Irish Grid using the polynomial transformation approved by OSNI, GNSS heights converted to MSL Belfast using OSGM02 Geoid model. (Both available in the Grid InQuest software) All total station traverse work to be “closed”, to minimum relative precision of 1:20000. (c) Prepare a String Digital Ground Model and supply it in GENIO, CSV, Bentley MX INP or any other format compatible with Bentley MX. (d) All associated Traffic Safety and Traffic Management including design, provision, maintenance and removal of traffic safety and traffic management measures complying with Chapter 8 of the “Traffic Signs Manual “ and with the “Code of Practice for Safety at Street Works and Road Works” Many of the work activities to be carried out under the Contract will require the Successful Tenderer to employ and use skilled personnel and specialist equipment and resources associated with such work activities. The successful Tenderer will be required to carry out any such work instructed by a Works Order issued under the provisions of the contract. Such work will require a standard of works delivery consistent with that defined in the Tender Documents. Reimbursement to the Successful Tenderer for such work will be paid to the Successful Tenderer generally on the basis of applicable rates and prices.
