Tender description

The A28 Edenaveys Improvement Scheme is located 2km south-west of Armagh on the A28 Link Corridor. The scheme on the A28 Armagh to Newry Trunk Road will commence at the junction with the Drumgaw Road on the Armagh side of Edenaveys Crescent and extends south-easterly towards Newry for a distance of 3.2km. This carriageway widening scheme will provide 1,800m of climbing lane towards Newry. As part of the works a number of right turn lanes will be constructed to improve access to and from minor roads and assist the progress of traffic on the main route, including Edenaveys Road, Drumgaw Road, Edenaveys Crescent, Derryraine Road, Killycapple Road, Redrock Road and several unclassified minor roads. The diversion of telecommunication cables will be required to accommodate the new road layout.
