DRD ROADS SERVICE - A26 Glenavy Road Carriageway Resurfacing

Tender description

The Works Involve:- The Resurfacing of approximately 19000m2 of carriageway consisting of:- 19000m2 of carriageway overlaid with 200mm of bituminous material. 1220m2 of milling to a depth of 100mm. Soft spots in carriageway excavated and strengthened with lean mix concrete and glass fibre reinforced grid. The construction will consist of a regulating layer of AC 20 dense bin 40/60rec up to100mm thick, a binder course of AC 14 close surf 100/150rec 55mm thick and a Surface Course of HRA 35/14 F Surf 40/60 laid 45mm thick. This includes 4300m2 of resurfacing on hard shoulders finished in red chips. Associated works will involve the removal of 3200 linear metres and installation of approximately 4500 linear metres of road kerbs, the replacement of gully lids and frames and drainage improvements. The replacement of existing road markings and Reflective road studs, including temporary markings required during all stages of the Works.
