Tender description

The work comprises overlaying both the East and West bound sides of the existing dual carriageway over a length of approx. 1400m. The overlay will comprise 60mm of AC20 Dense Binder 40/60 rec. Binder Course and be finished with 40mm of Thin Surfacing Surface Course with 14mm aggregate in the carriageways. Existing kerbs will be removed and disposed off site approximately 6000 metres and replaced with an estimated 3000 metres of half battered kerbs and 3000 metres of full battered kerbs. Works will also include the removal of 660 metres of existing vehicle restraint system and the replacement / extension of same. New total length including terminals will be 760 metres approximately. Approximately 1450 square metres in total of Buff High Friction Surfacing (Type 1) will be laid at 2 locations.
