DOJ - Replacement Generators at HMP Maghaberry and HMP Hydebank Wood

Tender description

The Project is for the provision of two replacement generators, one at MMP Maghaberry main prison complex and one in HMP Hydebank wood. Each site has an existing generator in place which is reaching the end of its useful life. The project includes for the disconnection, removal and disposal of all redundant generators and equipment from the sites. The new generators shall be installed in the similar positions to the existing generators. The sites cannot be without standby power facilities and the contract shall include for the provision of temporary self contained generating sets to provide standby facilities during all times when the permanent sets are off line. The contract shall include for all works required to provide complete installations. It is envisaged that the existing fuel system will be altered as required and not replaced.
