Tender description

PSNI wishes to explore the procurement of a computer based system to assist in the management of its firearms training operations with a view to maintaining the standards needed to hold a National Firearms Training License. The College of Policing [CoP] has introduced a National Licensing Scheme to standardise levels of specialist training across all police services within England and Wales. The College of Policing does not by right impose standards on PSNI or Police Scotland however PSNI has voluntarily joined the National Firearms Training License scheme in the interests of transparency and maintenance of standards. The Police Service of Northern Ireland [PSNI] wishes to establish the level of market interest to inform any procurement process. The information gathered will be used to inform the preparation of the PSNI Business Case and will NOT be considered in any future tender evaluation exercise.
