DOJ - Northern Ireland Prison Service – General Facilities Management Contract

Tender description

The Contract is for the provision of multi-disciplinary planned preventative and reactive property services incorporating building, mechanical, electrical, grounds, design and other related specialist services. The services shall be located at Maghaberry Prison, Magilligan Prison, Hydebank Wood Young Offenders Centre and Prison, Belfast Working Out Unit and the Prison Service College. In addition to the sites indicated above, other occasional services may also be required (subject to the approval of the Northern Ireland Prison Service) to be undertaken for other Agencies or Arms length bodies of the Department of Justice (NI) within the boundaries of Northern Ireland. An out-of-hours ‘immediate’ response service shall be made available 24 hours per day 365 days per year (including all weekends and holiday periods). Under the proposed Term Service Contract, it is envisaged that the Economic Operator (including relevant sub-contractors) shall provide a helpdesk facility within the confines of the Maghaberry Prison site.
