DOJ - Generator Planned & Reactive Maintenance Services

Tender description

The Contracting Authority is looking to appoint a single Economic Operator (Contractor) for the provision of Generator Planned Preventative Maintenance & Reactive Maintenance across the PSNI Estate utilising an NEC3 Term Service Contract. The Economic Operator will be responsible for the maintenance of both approximately 134 standby and 37 embedded generators varying in capacity from 3.5kva up to 1000kva throughout the PSNI Estate. The service shall be made available 24 hours per day and 365 days per year (including all weekends and holiday periods). PLANNED PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE Main categories of Planned Preventative Maintenance work: •Undertake a planned preventative maintenance program covering all the Generators identified on the Schedule of Stand-by Generator Installations. •Undertake a more rigorous testing of embedded generating sets •Undertake inspections and 'Off Load' Stand-by Generator Tests •Undertake inspections and 'On Load' Stand-by Generator tests. •Provide a repair service at the time of planned visit or as requested. REACTIVE MAINTENANCE Small works orders may be issued for remedial works linked to a PPM visit, or more commonly as a result of a Premises Officer contacting the Contracting Authority’s nominated helpdesk to request a maintenance repair. The Contractor must make provision for receiving calls from the Contracting Authority’s nominated helpdesk regarding the provision of a 24/7 365 reactive call-out service to cater for ad hoc requests for additional maintenance outside the Regular Service programme and in accordance with the following normal response requirements.
