DOE - Sustainability appraisal for NI marine plan The Department of the Environment (the Department), as the marine plan authority for Northern Ireland, is seeking to procure Contractor(s) to undertake a Sustainability Appraisal (SA) which will assist the Department in the development; management and production of a forthcoming marine plan encompassing both Northern Ireland’s inshore and offshore waters. While the Northern Ireland waters are legislatively distinct, the Department will be producing a single plan document for both (hereinafter referred to as the Northern Ireland Marine Plan - NIMP). The SA which is the subject of this procurement exercise is therefore to inform work on the NIMP.
