Tender description

This is for a new Theatre in Education (TIE) contract to provide theatrical performances with a road safety message to selected Primary and Post Primary schools across Northern Ireland. A new contract is required to be in place for June 2013, to allow preparatory work to be underway for the start of the 2013/14 academic year. The Road Safety Education Officer Service (RSEOS) is part of DOE Road Safety and Vehicle Regulation Division (RSVRD). RSEOS promotes road safety by contributing to the delivery of a range of modern, appropriate, road safety schemes and resources to children and young people across all of Northern Ireland. TIE has been provided by RSEOS to selected Primary and Post Primary schools throughout Northern Ireland for many years and has proven to be an effective and popular way to get the road safety message to children aged 4 to 18 years old. As the current TIE contract has expired it is necessary to procure a new one. The scheme is funded and managed by RSVRD. The contract to provide TIE will be by competitive tender and will be for a one year period.
