DOE - Driver Vehicle Agency - Supply of Consumables for Taxi Plating

The Department of the Environment (DOE) is the authority responsible for the licensing of Taxi Operators, Drivers and Vehicles. This contract is for the supply of Taxi Plates and the related taxi consumables to meet both current requirements and future requirements. The existing legislation specifies precisely the design of taxi roof plates and associated taxi consumables that are displayed within the interior of the vehicle, to include windscreen mounted internal labels. New legislation due to be implemented in 2015 will result in some modifications to the size and layout of the present taxi plating consumables, although the overall concept remains the same. It is the intention to have a contract in place which meets the Departments needs of supplying existing taxi plating consumables along with the requirement to supply the new style roof plates which will be issued to customers when the legislation comes into force.
