Tender description

Following the Review of Public Administration (RPA), the new Mid and East Antrim Borough Council made up of the former Ballymena, Larne and Carrickfergus Council areas came into being on 1st April 2015. Mid and East Antrim Borough Council (“the Council”) now invites tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the development of a Tourism Strategy and Action Plan for the new Mid and East Antrim Borough Council area, through to the end of 2020. Historically Ballymena and Larne were two of six former Councils who made up the Causeway Coast and Glens Tourism Destination, one of 9 Tourism destinations identified in the DETI/NITB Draft Tourism Strategy for NI up to 2020. A plan did exist for the larger Causeway Coast and Glens Tourism Area, however this document requires updating and strengthening to provide a bespoke strategy document for the Mid and East Antrim Area.
