DETI wishes to appoint suitably qualified consultants to provide a Cost Benefit Analysis for smart metering in relation to both electricity and natural gas This piece of work should produce the long term costs and benefits of rolling out smart metering in Northern Ireland to all electricity and gas customers or to either group. This assignment, the outcomes of which will be published, will feed into the broader planned review of the Strategic Energy Framework over 2015 and help inform smart metering policy and implementation. The overall aim is to: “Determine the cost/benefit of implementing smart metering in properties in Northern Ireland” The contract will be for four months.
