Tender description
The Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment wishes to compile a list of suitable persons/service providers who can be called upon to provide a service as wayleave enquiry officers Where Northern Ireland Electricity are unable to obtain a landowner or occupier’s agreement to the installation of new electricity equipment (typically an overhead power line and its supports) they can apply to the Department to make a compulsory consent under the Electricity (Northern Ireland) Order 1992. The Department then appoints an independent wayleave officer to conduct a wayleave enquiry, hear the representations of the landowner or occupier and make a report. Similarly a gas licence holder can apply to the Department under the Gas (Northern Ireland) Order 1996
