Tender description

The Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment’s Statistics Research Branch (SRB), whose statisticians are out-posted from the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency, provides statistical, analytical and briefing services to the Government of Northern Ireland in the area of Northern Ireland economic and labour market statistics. SRB currently undertake 12 Northern Ireland surveys, which involves processing approximately 80,000 business survey forms annually. It also issues and collects some 6,000 forms for onward transmission to the Office for National Statistics, without data entry. The vast majority of questionnaires issued remain as paper forms. The content, number of surveys and survey sample sizes can vary from year to year. The Successful Contractor must design, build and provide a Managed IT Service to facilitate the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment’s Statistics Research Branch to collect, edit and potentially analyse information from businesses for official statistical purposes; as well as to design, build and operate a range of Survey Support Services, which could include design, printing, distribution and collection, online secure hosting, help desk, scanning, data capture and secure storage.
