Delivery of Housing Related Support Services under the Supporting People Program

Tender description

The Vale of Glamorgan Council is in the process of changing the way it delivers Housing Related Support Services under the Supporting People Programme. From 7th December 2015, The Vale of Glamorgan Council will utilise a Preferred Provider List via the E-Tender Wales procurement portal in order to award contracts for Housing Related Support Services. The Preferred Provider List will provide SPRG funded housing related support services to vulnerable client groups and will include the provision of floating support, supported housing, refuge and direct access accommodation. The current contractual arrangement supports in excess of 2500 citizens within the authority. It is anticipated that the number of citizens may increase/ decrease and therefore no guarantee can be given with regard to the volume of services required. The Vale of Glamorgan Council therefore, seeks to appoint a number of Supporting People provider organisations to deliver Housing Related Support Services under the Supporting People Programme. The Council proposes to enrol no more than 6 providers to each of the following preferred provider lists. 1) Women at Risk of Domestic Abuse 2) Men at Risk of Domestic Abuse 3) People with Learning Disabilities 4) People with mental Health Issues 5) People with Substance Issues (Alcohol) 6) People with Substance Misuse Issues (Drugs and Volatile substances) 7) People with Criminal Offending History 8) People with Refugee Status 9) People with Physical and / or Sensory Disabilities 10) People with Developmental Disorders (i.e. Autism) 11) People with Chronic Illnesses (including HIV/AIDS) 12) Young People who are Care Leavers 13) Young People with Support Needs (16-24) 14) Single Parent Families with Support Needs 15) Families with Support Needs 16) Single People with support Needs (25-55) 17) People over 55 years of age (with Support Needs) 18) Generic Floating support to prevent homelessness 19) Alarm Services
