The Department of Education requires comprehensive and specific research relating to the possible development of high-level diagnostic tools for children with special educational needs in the Irish medium sector: (i) to identify and define the exact need for high level diagnostic tools in Irish; and (ii) to assess the technical, operational and economic feasibility of the development of such tools, through examination of existing models and research.
