Project_12128 - DARD – Forest Service – Ground Preparation for Re-Plant Sites The Forest Service invites offers from competent tenderers for: • Ground preparation – post clearfell and burnt sites • Draining sites • Fire breaks Providing access across planting sites for quads or other all terrain vehicles. Ground preparation is undertaken on replanting sites to aid tree establishment. Ground preparation operations include: (1) Cultivation to provide raised planting micro sites (mounding, hinge mounding), (2) Manipulation of harvesting residues (brash raking), (3) Soil manipulation to provide drainage channels and break indurated layers. It is anticipated the contract will be awarded November 2013.
