DARD (CAFRE) - LAC Recreation Centre, Final Phase Alterations To Sports Hall(B1)

Tender description

The Contract is for the provision of works to Recreation Centre Building, CAFRE Loughry Campus, 76 Dungannon Road, Cookstown Co. Tyrone BT80 9AA. Generally the works are.:- The alterations and refurbishment ( 360sq.metres) of the existing Sports Hall space to create a combined Conference and Indoor Sports facilities. MAIN BUILDING WORKS:- The works include minor demolitions for new window openings / wall + ceiling strip out / new aluminium windows and doors. Also new specialist sound / impact resistant wall and ceiling finishes; minor joinery works with feature wall panelling ;new sports flooring; redecoration. ELECTRICAL WORKS; - The strip out of the existing power and lighting circuits. The installation of new impact resistant lighting and also feature lighting; general purpose power, data,fire prevention CCTV, audio visual including all infrastructure. MECHANICAL WORKS:- The strip out of the existing oil fired heating system and the installation of ceiling mounted radiant panels ( impact resistant ) complete with oil fired boiler. The provision of air intake and air extract installation. ACCESS RESTRICTIONS The proposed works are scheduled to take place within an occupied educational campus. The existing building shall be required to be fully operational and undisturbed under the duration of the contract. DELAY DAMAGES Due to a business critical completion date, delay damages shall apply should the contractor default in meeting the agreed completion date.
