Tender description

The need for GI information is on the increase in the company and as a result of new legislation such as, EU INSPIRE and Open Data a more advanced package is required to suit Corporate GI requirements. The project aims to incorporate externally and internally derived data for access by any corporate division. This in turn will also improve information governance, efficiency and compliance within a spatial data infrastructure framework. The specific outcomes of this Project are as follows: • Development & maintenance of a central geo-spatial database, including a full NIMA portfolio or access to full LPS Ordnance Survey Mapping services; • To provide managed corporate data access to GIS Services – this meaning access for office based staff, via intranet self-service facility, using administrator controls on user/departmental access rights, inc. desired levels of GIS functionality depending on user requirements; • Map output resolution control to provide balance between performance/quality; • Standard Print and Report tool output facility will be provided to users.
