: Contract for the supply and Hire of Patient Linen and Non Sterile and Sterile

Tender description

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is calling for suitably qualified suppliers of Laundry and Linen services comprising of linen hire, collection, wash and return. The contract shall comprise of the collection, wash, finish and return (including transport), of linen items and /linen hire items that are either owned by the Trust and/or hired by the Trust from the supplier and the collection, wash, finish and return (including transport), of re-useable CE marked barrier theatre textiles including gowns, drapes, and Tray Wraps and may include clean air suits and clean room garments that are either owned by the Trust and/or hired by the Trust from the supplier. The Laundry and Linen services are subject to additional industry regulations including the ‘Health and Social Care Act 2008: Code of Practice on the prevention and control of infections and related guidance’. Potential Providers should ensure they are familiar with the detail and scope of these regulations and are able to demonstrate compliance
