Construction Project at Grovetree House Belfast

Tender description

The Contract is for the provision of a 30 unit dementia scheme comprised of 27 no. 2 person 1 bed apartments & 3 no. 2 person 2 bed apartments. The work includes the requirement for site development and engineering works and the demolition of the existing buildings on site. The contract will be for approximately 20 months from date of award and is scheduled to start by the end of March 2016. It is expected that ALL units built under this contract will achieve ‘Secured By Design’, Lifetime Homes accreditation and is to be built in accordance with the Dementia Design Principle. The scope of the Grovetree House, Belfast project is approximately £4m and the complexity of the Grovetree House project includes the construction of apartment building with engineering services and external and site development works which achieve Secured by Design, Lifetime Homes standards and are in accordance with the Dementia Design Principle. General Site Description: Grove tree House, 106 Cullingtree Road, Belfast, BT12 4BA. The site is located at the junction of Cullingtree Road and Grosvenor Road, Belfast and covers approximately 0.4 hectares. The land within is flat, irregular in shape and comprises the buildings and curtilage of the former Grovetree House Nursing Home.
